6. Unclaimed, lack of recognition by others.

Unclaimed accounts identified as per Senior Citizen Welfare Fund Rules 2016.

These accounts have remained unclaimed since 1955.

Clause 13.12 of the Jammu and Kashmir Financial Code also provides that unclaimed amounts standing at the credit of the subscribers in provident fund under the control of the government are transferred to this head and these deposits should thereafter be dealt with in accordance with the rules governing them.

To settle an outstanding claim of nearly Rs 9,800 crore to bankers, NBCC has offered 1,426 acre land worth Rs 5,000 crore, 75 per cent of the 858 acre land likely to be transferred to Jaypee Infratech and 50 per cent of the sale proceeds of about 3,000 benami or unclaimed flats.

Thus, as aforesaid, from the deposition of the complainant, it can be carved out that the complainant had not seen the present appellant at the scene of offence and the weapon (gun) in question was found to be unclaimed.

Unclaimed deposits,- Sums remaining unclaimed for a period exceeding 6 months should be transferred to deposits at the end of each year, and be dealt with under the ordinary rules relating to 'deposits'.
