Last month, a Delhi government panel constituted by LG Anil Baijal had suggested to use Pragati Maidan, Talkatora Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, JLN Stadium, Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium and Dhyan Chand National Stadium for the purpose.

The Jinnah Stadium is the largest stadium in Gujranwala, followed by the Mini Stadium, an association football stadium which has a capacity of 15,000.

Before then, the parade was held at Irwin Stadium (now National Stadium), the Red Fort, and the Ramlila grounds.

Besides, seven-eight projects being implemented at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Dr.Shyam Prasad Mukherjee Stadium are progressing at a slow pace due to delay in the procurement of key raw materials.

It is the biggest stadium in Nepal.

There are many cricket stadiums in the country, most popularly the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, the Al Jazira Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, the Ajman Oval and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
