This is more technically known as a torque-induced precession or gyroscopic precession.

Using the 14 years of data, they developed a model spanning 50 years and accurately predicting the disappearance and reappearance of both beams from precession.

The result on Earth is called the precession of the equinoxes - a phenomenon which affects our observations of the stars.

Mars also experiences a precession of the equinoxes, but the precession period is less stable than Earth's.

By comparison, the precession of the equinoxes results in about 20 minutes of difference between the Earth's orbital period when measured against the fixed background stars (a sidereal year), and the time it takes for the sun to appear to return to the same position in the sky each year (a solar year).

Initially, the zodiac was grouped in 12 Rashis for convenience, however the ancient seers have farther subdivided the heavens into 27 Nakshatras or star constellations for the call of precession.

There is only one moment that repeats itself through astronomical precession only once in less than 26000 years.
