A misanthrope can communicate with everyone and wants this with select people, his unsociation is justified rather by disgust than fear.

Characteristic signs of a misanthrope can be: reluctance to contact in public places (can sit alone in the square, in a public garden, go to exhibitions, while being afraid that someone will start a conversation), reluctance to fill conversational pauses with empty topics (silence does not strain), unwillingness to answer the phone (in the priority of messages in various communication services), purchases through Internet sites are preferable to going to the store.

I am a misanthrope and yet utterly benevolent, have more than one screw loose yet am a super-idealist who digests philosophy more efficiently than food.
