I found the following on the body of the deceased (1) A well defined ligature mark, slightly depressed over the neck, just below the level of thyroid cartilage, encircling the neck completely and horizontally, the margins of the mark are having abrasions, ligature mark is half inch in width, (2) An abrasion one inch by half inch on the lower border of mandible midway between angle of mandible and the chin on the left side.
