We’ve known that air pollution is linked to human health since Lester Lave and Eugene Seskin published their pioneering quantitative work in Science in 1970.

We lave it open to be decided in an appropriate case by a Three Judge Bench.

However, in view of the involvement of substantial question of general importance and interpretation of Rule 3 (7) of the said Rule, as noted in the body of this order, certificate for special lave to Supreme Court requires to be granted.
