Different floras and vegetation of the sanctuary is the homeland for various animals like the tiger, leopard, hyena, jackal, wild dogs, and Indian fox, chital Axis, sambhar, nilgai, chinkara, gazelle, jungle cat and four horned antelopes, all of which can be seen roaming in their natural habitat.

Tigers, Leopards, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara, Jackals, Sambar, Four - horned Antelopes, Jungle Cat, Barking Deer, Porcupine, Monkey, Bison, Striped Hyena, Sloth Bear, and Wild Dogs are some of the common species found in this region.

However, lions are not particularly known for their stamina - for instance, a lioness' heart makes up only 0.57 percent of her body weight (a male's is about 0.45 percent of his body weight), whereas a hyena's heart is close to 1 percent of its body weight.
