If a gallstone becomes stuck here it can cause pancreatitis which is a painful and serious condition.

Prolonged dyskinetic disorders of the biliary tract can cause gallstone disease, pancreatitis, cholecystitis.

Also, those that have gallstone disease should not take ginger since it can increase the flow of bile.
