It would be euphemistic to say that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President Barack Obama will meet in Washington D.C. in end-September at a crucial juncture in the context of international economic and political situation as also the India-US relations.

This euphemistic terminology allowed employees to lie to themselves about what they were doing, making it seem as though they were gaming the system rather than ripping off customers.

So if the vast majority of children living in orphanages are not orphans, then the term "orphanage" is really just a euphemistic name for a residential care institution.

So perhaps it’s high time we stopped talking about our periods in euphemistic terms as flow or ‘that time of the month’ or stopped apologizing for or feeling bad for excusing our behavior as PMS. The fact is in terms of pain, mood swings and vulnerability, we are completely justified in asking for some downtime when we are bleeding up to 6 table spoons a month!
