विश्वास (en. Credulity)

The police’s claim that two of the accused snatched their weapons and fired at them when the four had been taken to the crime scene to reconstruct the sequence of events late after midnight, and that they killed them in self-defense, stretches credulity.

It produces narrowness and intolerance, credulity and superstition, emotionalism and irrationalism.

Many modern historians accept the credulity of this account.

They seem to threaten reason itself; if they are not kept at bay, science and even modern civilization itself seem to be endangered by a tidal wave of superstition and credulity.
